Andrew Gordon Mays, age 61, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Kobacker House.
He was born July 23, 1949 in Richmond, VA to the late Lew and Charlotte Mays. Andy was retired from the U.S. Army where he served as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was an active member of Gahanna Free Will Baptist Church, where his passion for the Lord shined through in all that he said and did.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Mays; children, Renee (Chris) Cavinder, Tim Mays, Brett (Erica) Mays, Brad (Jessica) Mays and Justin (Amber) Mays; stepchildren, Chris (Sarah) Bowen, Sherry (Matt) Ramey, Adam (Faith) Bowen, Matt Bowen and Jordan Bowen; grandchildren, Crystal, James, Christian, Katie, Chloie, Olivia, Sophia, Landon, Leland, Zack and Mason; great-grandchild, Peyton; and his brothers, Randall (Dorothy) Mays, Roger (Pam) Mays and Wayne (Gail) Mays; many comrades and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Friends may call 4-8pm Sunday, November 21, at Gahanna Free Will Baptist Church, 3868 N. Stygler Rd. Gahanna, OH 43230 where services will be held 1pm Monday; interment Mifflin Twp. Cemetery.
