Pictures contributed by Greg Rice (former 107th ACR Cobra Pilot) Greg and his wife Connie are working for a humanitarian organization who’s goal is to help rebuild the remote, war torn villages of Afghanistan. Greg took an early retirement from American Airlines to fly these missions.

Greetings from Kabul,   December 24, 2005

We have a few photos we thought you would enjoy and which might give a real feel for life here. All but one were taken in the mountains at Yakolang (can you find that on a map?). The picture with the crooked road you can hardly see is the runway Greg flies into in Yakolang – 8500 ft elevation, highest in Afghanistan. We stuck the pic of Connie in at the grocery because that’s what she does here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Greg and Connie Rice
